On February 23, 2013, Nancy Hardt, M.D., a pathologist and professor for the UF Department of Pathology, Immunology and Laboratory Medicine recently won the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida Foundation‘s 2013 Sapphire Award for Individual Excellence and Innovation in Community Health. Dr. Hardt recieved the coveted award for her work at the Mobile Outreach Clinic, School Health Interdisciplinary Program, and multiple service-learning programs at this year at the Foundation’s 2013 Sapphire Awards and Symposium event. The award includes monetary donation to a non-profit program of Dr. Hardt’s choice.
