Dr. Lewis is a clinical psychologist with 30 years of clinical experience. She is trained in three mindfulness-based treatment protocols, which she uses extensively in her practice. She developed the Blue Card, which we all know and love, to teach mental health well-being skills that benefit everyone.
Dr. Lewis has also earned an MPH degree from the University of Florida College of Public Health and Health Professions and is board certified in public health (CPH). She has a particular interest in evidence-based treatment for behavioral health problems and the dissemination of best practices to underserved populations using low-intensity treatment models. She is one of the founding members of Peace4Gainesville, a trauma-responsive, resilience-building community initiative in Gainesville, Florida.
Most recently, Dr. Lewis has increased her hours in direct patient care for MOC patients and developed a “Community Wellbeing Mentor” curriculum. Through this curriculum, she teaches low-intensity well-being “microskills” to groups and organizations across the United States.
Thank you, Dr. Lewis, for your dedicated and important service to our patients, team, and community!
