Clinical volunteers are dedicated medical professionals who give back to the community by providing outstanding primary care. Please see the qualifications below if you would like to volunteer at the Mobile Outreach Clinic. Requirements

• Must hold a current medical license in the State of Florida (MD, DO, APRN, PA)
• Be able to work unsupervised
• Have prescribing ability

MOC Volunteer Provider Interest Form

MOC is a comprehensive, primary care clinic serving patients without health insurance; all services are provided at no cost to the patient. Our program is flexible, low-barrier, and patient centered; clinicians and health professions students are expected to assess and address patients’ social determinants of health in their care plans. Our priority for volunteer clinicians is to have people with a strong interest in community health who can volunteer for regular shifts on a weekly or monthly basis, to allow for continuity of care with our vulnerable patient population.

We operate four clinics within MOC: 1. Urban Primary Care – Tuesday-Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm in Gainesville 2. Rural Primary Care – Tuesdays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm in rotating rural communities (Gilchrist, Levy, Dixie) 3. OBGYN – Tuesdays and Thursdays rotating in Gilchrist, Levy, Columbia & Alachua – prenatal and postpartum 4. Homeless outreach and street medicine program – provides medical and social services to unsheltered patients in and around Gainesville
